On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the first public foundation concert is planned as part of a summer festival.

Anyone who wishes is welcome to arrive a few days earlier. During that time, we will prepare a choir and ensemble and spend time together hiking, cooking, eating, getting to know one another, and exchanging ideas and experiences.
10 December 2025 - On 12 December 2025, the second meeting of the Board of Trustees of the year will take place in Szombathely.
The meeting is open to the public. The exact venue and time have not yet been determined.

On 5 July 2025, the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the year will be held in Szakony, Hungary,
as part of a gathering of the Foundation’s companions.
23 March 2025 - The registration of the new members of the Board of Trustees has been officially confirmed.
02 March 2025 - At the end of 2024, changes took place within our Board of Trustees.
Two trustees who had believed in the Foundation from the very beginning and were deeply involved in its work— Ms. György Sosko and Mr. Dieter Leitgeb—passed on their offices smoothly for personal reasons to
Mr. Daniel Steinmacher and Mr. Friedrich Schenk, who has assumed the role of President.
Ms. Sosko and Mr. Leitgeb have expressly stated their wish to remain connected to the Foundation in a supportive and benevolent role.
We offer our heartfelt thanks for all that they have done for the Foundation —and, in the case of Mr. Leitgeb, also for Widukind himself.
The official legal registration of the new trustees is still in progress.
However, the presentation on our website under the section “Companions” has already been updated,
as both Mr. Steinmacher and Mr. Schenk have already taken up their duties.
07 November 2024 - The next meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Widukind Foundation will take place on 13 November 2024. The meeting will be held online to enable all board members to participate.
09 July 2024 - The Widukind Foundation’s website went live today, marking the beginning of our public presence. There are still many works in progress in various areas, and we look forward to the coming weeks and months of creation and building.
On 26 March 2024, the founding charter of the Widukind Foundation was signed and subsequently officially confirmed by the Hungarian authorities.
